Why SAGE Academy?

We're glad you asked!  SAGE is a small, safe, caring community of learners.  Our students benefit from a 9:1 student to teacher ratio and a 1:1 student to Mac computer ratio.

Does SAGE provide transportation?

SAGE provides free bus service within the surrounding area.  Whenever possible, we work with parents to help students get to a bus stop.

When is the school building open?

On regular school days, SAGE opens to students at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 3:15 p.m. though staff members are frequently at the school until 4 p.m. or later.  On Fridays and staff meeting days, students are asked to leave directly after school at 2:35.

What special education services are available?

Special education services are provided to qualified students.  SAGE currently has one full-time special education teacher on staff and three paraprofessionals.

How do I apply?

New students may contact our Student Services Coordinator at 763-315-4020.  As a public charter school, SAGE does not discriminate in admissions based on personal attributes or academic ability.  If we have more applicants than available spots, we will conduct a lottery as per state requirements.

What colleges have SAGE graduates attended?

SAGE has successful graduates all over the country and the world!  Our students have attended numerous colleges and universities including the University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin - River Falls, Hamline University, Art Institutes of Minnesota, Naropa University (Boulder, CO), DePaul University (Chicago, IL), and St Olaf University (Northfield, MN).

What is a charter school?
